Beneficiary: All proceeds benefit The Cure Starts Now to fund pediatric brain cancer research in honor of Sophie, Elena, Cece, Jack, Lauren, Wyatt, Erin, Sarah, Reese, and all children battling cancers.
History
Established: Sophie’s Angel Run has been a staple of the West Side of Cincinnati since 2007.
Participation: The 5K Run/Walk takes place in Bridgetown, OH and annually attracts thousands of families, friends, and runners.
Founding Family: The Meinhardt Family originally started the event after losing their daughter Sophie to a rare and aggressive brain tumor.
Funds Raised: In 2021, the campaign raised over $85,000 for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and $5,000 in scholarships to local catholic school students.
