Event Overview

What':s better than running by yourself? Running with a bunch of crazy fun people, that':s what! Spend your Saturday morning running or walking along the beautiful Tennessee River, with a bunch of the funnest runners you':ve ever met.

Please read ALL information before signing up so you know what you':re getting yourself into! This is NOT a typical race!

History of the Event

• Origin: What started out as a casual group run with paper plate medals has turned into a perennial event that has been going on for more than a decade!
• 2027 Options: You will also have the option of signing up for the Freeze + Burn Your Half Off Combo (and earn extra swag for doing both).
• Series Registration: Register for all FOUR races in the Awesomesauce Riverpark Race Series to earn EVEN MORE extra swag.
• Attention: Pay close attention when registering, so you know exactly what you are registering for!

The Course

• Terrain: The course is mostly flat, with some small inclines/declines on a paved path that meanders by the Tennessee River.
• Facilities: Restrooms feature toilets that flush, along with sinks and soap in heated buildings. Is this a runner's dream or what?
• Support: You'll pass the start/finish/aid station area multiple times throughout the race.
• Community: It's more about camaraderie than competition: everyone can cheer each other on!

Race Atmosphere

• Non-competitive: All races are super low-key and non-competitive.
• Supportive Environment: Focused on having fun and reaching your goals: welcoming atmosphere for slower runners and walkers.
• Five Hours: There is a time limit of five hours for all distances.
• Registration: Registration fees are final and are not refundable or transferable for any reason.

Registration Fee Includes

• Entry: Entry into the race distance of your choosing.
• Results: Online results will be provided.
• Swag: Race swag will be a winter - or summer - hat, plus our usual "bonus swag".
• Epic Aid Station: The most epic aid station setup you've ever seen including Gatorade, water, Gu, fruit, and more!

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is from 8am - 9am on Saturday ONLY. There is no Friday packet pickup.

Weather Notice

The races will go on rain, snow, or shine, unless the park service prohibits us from having a race.

A Note From Awesomesauce Events

Awesomesauce Events produces low-key, laid-back running events that are focused more on camaraderie instead of competition. Our courses are not certified, but they are measured accurately and are USATF sanctioned.

If you are looking for serious races with mid-race splits or an army of volunteers, we encourage you to look elsewhere. Our events are more like having a picnic with friends with some running or walking for fun.

Additional Information

*ANY participant completing both Freeze and Burn Your Half Off in 2027 and/or the full Riverpark series will earn additional swag, even if they are registered for each race separately. We recommend registering for all of them at the same time for the very best pricing!
