Human Growth Foundation's 14th Annual 5K Run & Walk for Kids' Growth (Miami)

🌦️ Event Overview

Join the Human Growth Foundation (HGF) in collaboration with the Nicklaus Children's Hospital - and be part of a GROWing solution! Participating in the 14th Annual 5K Run & Walk for Kids' Growth will help increase awareness of childhood growth disorders and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. This event will also raise much-needed funds to give underserved children with rare growth disorders access to care and treatment.

All ages and all walks of life are encouraged to participate.

Each registered participant receives:

• Finisher Medal: Celebrate your achievement with a medal.
• Event Tee Shirt: Wear your official race shirt with pride.
• Food: Enjoy delicious post-race refreshments.
• Refreshments: Stay hydrated with provided drinks.

🕖 Race Day Schedule

• 7:00 am: Race Day registration and packet-pickup.
• 7:45 am: Pre-race warm-up.
• 8:00 am: 5K Run/Walk Starts. The awards ceremony will follow after all run/walk participants return.
• Throughout the event: Live entertainment, food, refreshments, raffle prizes, display booths, and giveaways will be available.

10:00 am: Event Ends.

⏱️ Timing

The event will be timed (conventional timing), and the course is paved.

☀️ Heat Warning

Temperature/humidity can be high in South Florida. Participants should drink plenty of fluids (non-alcoholic) for 48 hours prior to, during and upon finishing the race. Beware of heat-injury symptoms (dizziness, no sweating, nausea, cramps, redness, incoherent speech and thoughts). Seek immediate assistance if symptoms occur. Wear loose, light-colored clothing.

🚫 Cancellation Policy

Race Management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to events out of Management’s control, such as a natural disaster or other emergencies. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. Management may also alter the course and distances for the safety of the athletes.
