12th Annual Wickenburg's Wild West Run

🏃‍♂️ Welcome to the Wild West Run!

• Date: 2025-04-12
• Location: Sunset Park, Wickenburg, AZ
• Description: Giddy-on-up to the 12th Annual Wickenburg's Wild West Run! Cinch up your shoes, secure your hat, and come run (or walk!) through Arizona's most western town.
• Course: Following an out-and-back course beginning at Sunset Park (3020 W. Wickenburg Way, Wickenburg, AZ 85390), the race takes a gradually descending path east until reaching the 5k turnaround.

🏔️ Race Course Details

• Elevation: 10k and half-marathon runners face a gradual climb in elevation until reaching their respective turnaround points.
• Turnaround Points: 10k participants turn around just beyond Wickenburg's Los Caballeros Golf Course, while half-marathon runners continue for another 3.45 miles.
• Scenery: The turnaround gives participants a picturesque view of Wickenburg and its surrounding beauty. Enjoy your run!
• Attire: Yes! You can run in your spurs: just don’t squat!

🕘 Event Details and Schedule

• Registration: Race-day registration and packet pickup begins at 6:00 a.m.
• Goodie Bags: Packets include a goodie bag, performance t-shirt, and a race bib with timing chip. Shirt sizes are guaranteed to pre-registrants only.
• Bag Check-In: Available for all participants, free of charge but please do not leave valuables.
• Race Start Times: Half marathon 6:30am, 15K 6:45am, 10K 7:00am, 5K 7:15am, 1-Mile Kids Fun Run 9:30am.

👕 Event T-Shirts

• Guaranteed Shirt: T-shirt guaranteed if you register by 4/5/2025. Post this date is based on availability.
• Distribution: T-shirts must be collected during packet pickup.

⏱️ Race Timing

• Chip Timing: The races will be timed using chip timing: all chips distributed with bibs on race morning.
• Accuracy: Please attach the bib to the front of your shirt or shorts for accurate timing.

👶 Kids Fun Run

• Course: A 1-mile course for children 10 and under: each will receive a shirt and a participation medal.
• Accompaniment: Each child may be accompanied by one adult on the course. The Kids Fun Run will not be timed.

🏅 Awards

• Medals: Awarded to top finishers of the 5k, 10k, and half marathon in each age bracket.
• Age Categories: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+ for the 5k, 10k, and 15K.
• Half Marathon: Age brackets are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
• Finisher’s Medal: All half marathon participants will receive a finisher's medal.

Photos

• Photography: Photographers will take pictures on the course and at the park.
• Free Photo Op: A free photo op area will be available near the Start/Finish area.

🐾 Pets

• Policy: Unfortunately, we cannot allow pets on the course at this time.

🍼 Strollers

• Allowed: Strollers are permitted on the course: we ask that you line up towards the back of the start line.

🎉 Post-Race Roundup Party

• Activities: Bring your littles to spring around in the bounce house or enjoy some scrumptious food.
• Merchandise: Outfit yourself with new athletic wear from The Vinyl Word.
• Photo Ops: Free western photo op for friends and family.
