Join us for our 47th year racing the rails in lovely Ashland, Virginia. All proceeds benefit the Hanover Arts & Activities Center. For this year’s event, we are partnered with Arsenal Events and will have in person and virtual options.

Race Overview

• Established Event: This 10K RAILS to TRAILS race is a favorite spring ritual for runners near and far.
• Start/Finish: Begin and end "on the tracks" in our picturesque railroad town, known as the "Center of the Universe"!
• Events Included: Participate in the 10k, 5K Walk/Run, Kids Fun Run, and the COTU Challenge (race both the 5K and 10K!).
• Post-Race Fun: Stay after the race and enjoy all that Ashland has to offer.

Packet Pickup

• Date: In person at Hanover Arts & Activities Center.
• Times: March 20th from 5-7pm and March 21st beginning at 7am.

Prizes

• Lucky Road Run Shop: Providing Gift Certificates!
• Top Overall Finishers 10k: 1st Place: 2 x $50 gift certificates, 2nd Place: 2 x $40 gift certificates, 3rd Place: 2 x $30 gift certificates.
• Top Male and Female Finishers 5k: 2 x $30 gift certificates.
• Top Male and Female Finishers COTU Challenge: 2 x $30 gift certificates.

Tech-Shirts

• Shirt Availability: Availability and sizes cannot be guaranteed if registered after March 3rd.
• Virtual Runners: Will need to pick up shirt during packet pickup.
• Shipping Option: Shirts for virtual non-local entries can be shipped for a flat rate of $10.
• No Shirt Option: A $5 discount for no shirt option is available.

Course Information

• Accessibility: The 5k course is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.
• 10k Course: The 10k course is NOT suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
• Water Stations: There are 2 water stations along the course.
