MVRRC 8th Annual Shoe4Africa, 5K event

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Come join us on September 13, 2025 at Lake Perris Dam Perris Ca to celebrate our 8th Annual Shoe4Africa in the making.

Shoe4Africa is focused on creating better health and education outcomes-focused in Eastern Africa. The charity has also raised significant funding for the hospital, and other building projects, through individual donations and the efforts of runners that run Marathons and other road races throughout the world and raise funds through their participants.

📅 Event Details and Schedule

Moreno Valley Road Runners Club will be celebrating our 8th Annual Shoe4Africa fun run at Lake Perris State Recreation Area Dam 17801 Lake Perris Drive Perris, Ca 92571. On September 13, 2025, at 7:30 am.

• What: Don’t miss Southern California’s best Shoe4Africa fun run tradition! There will be a 1-mile kids race Everyone is welcome!
• Where: Enjoy a historic course along the Dam, referred to as The Lake Perris Dam. You’ll pass by such a notable lake. What a great way to see the beautiful lake in the morning.
• Course: The race starts and finishes at the Dam. This is a flat long course with no traffic.
• When: September 13, 2025. Packet picks up open at 7:30 Am.

⏰ Race Start Times

• Kid's 1-mile race: Starts at 8:15 AM.
• 5K race: Starts at 8:30 AM.

🥇 Awards and Prizes

• Awards: Top 3 boys and girls in the 1-mile race, Top 3 open Males and Females in the 5K.
• Giving away: Medals to all participants and 50 first sign-ups will get a t-shirt.

💵 Registration Fees

The kid’s 1-mile race is $5.00, the 5K race is $20.00, All fees are the same on race day. On race day we take cash, Venmo, Cash app, and Zelle. The entrance to the park will be $20.00.
