Valentine's Day 5k

❤️ Race History

• Origin: The Valentine's Day 5K dates back to the 1980's when it was known as the "Serendipity Run".
• Milestone: 1994 marked the race's first inclusion in the Arkansas RRCA Grand Prix Series.

• Male Overall: Wayne Stanley - 15:14 (1992)
• Female Overall: Leah Thorvilson - 17:14 (2010)
• Male Masters: Tom Aspel - 15:52 (1996)
• Female Masters: Jen Found - 20:05 (2022)

🏃‍♂️ Course Description

• Location: The race starts and finishes at Doc Bryan Hall on ATU Campus.
• Awards: Awards will be given for Overall Male and Female Finishers, Masters, Grand Masters and Seniors.
• Age Divisions: Male and female age divisions include 1-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.

💘 Sweetheart Competition

• Special Feature: A chance to team up with a sweetheart for additional prizes!
• Divisions: Runners can enter the Married Sweethearts Division with their spouse or the Unmarried Sweethearts Division with a friend.
• Composite Times: The finishing times for the two Sweethearts will be added together to compete against other couples' composite times.
• Impact: The Sweetheart competition is in addition to the male/female individual races and does not affect an individual's time, placing, or award in the overall race.

📝 Registration Information

• Deadline: Register before 11:59p CST 2/6 to be guaranteed a shirt and medal.
• Same Day Registration: Available from 7:30-8:30a on the day of the race.
• Cost: Same Day registration will be $35 (cash, check or Cash App will be accepted).
