The Amerind Museum presents the 14th Annual Texas Canyon Trail Run. Run competitively or walk the scenic 5K or 10K courses in this awe-inspiring region. Texas Canyon is marked by spectacular rock formations, including balancing boulders, and trails crisscrossing through open fields of yucca, ocotillo, a variety of cacti, and scattered trees that dot the terrain. It is a fun event for all ages, whether you race competitively or walk with friends and family! Participation in the event enables Amerind to further its mission of fostering and promoting knowledge and understanding of the Native Peoples of the Americas through research, education, conservation, and community engagement.

Event Details and Schedule

• Location: The race will be held entirely within Texas Canyon on the Amerind Museum property.
• Water Stations: There are three water stations on the course. If you expect to need more than that, please carry additional water.
• Facilities: There will be one porta pot on the course.
• Rules: Please remember no dogs and no headsets, in compliance with our insurance requirements. Also, comply with our no-smoking policy.

The Texas Canyon Trail Run starts at 9:00 with the 10K division and 9:20 for the 5K.

Packet pick-up is on race day starting at 7:30 am.

Race-day registration is available ONLINE only until 8:50 for the 10k and 9:10 for the 5k.

Finish Line Celebration and Awards

• Awards Ceremony: Once you have completed the race, please stay for the Awards Ceremony at 11:00 am.
• Prizes: In addition to their medals, the overall male and female winners of the 5K and 10K will receive a piece of Native American art.
• Food Vendors: After the awards ceremony, grab a bite to eat from one of the food vendors.
• Museum Entry: Your race registration includes free entry into the Amerind Museum and Art Gallery. Show your bib number or free guest passes to the admissions desk to take advantage of this offer.
