🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us for the THIRTEENTH annual Running Wild 7K Trail Run and 1mile LIFE Hike on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Maplewood State Park! Proceeds benefit Health Resources of Fergus Falls.

🌲 Course Details

The Running Wild course navigates through the beautiful, but challenging terrain of northwest Minnesota.

• 7K Terrain: Uneven ground, mini-hills, gravel road, and challenging hills.
• Ironwood Trail Hill: A rigorous part of the 7K course.
• LIFE Hike: An out and back course.
• Family Friendly: Includes Kid's Run WILD for ages 5-7 and WEE RUN WILD for ages 4 and under.

📅 Event Details and Schedule

• Packet Pick-Up: Pre-Race: Friday, June 13, 4:00 – 6:00pm at Health Resources Center.
• Race Day: Saturday, June 14, 7:00 – start of race at the Josh Hanson Memorial Picnic Shelter.
• Starting Times:
  • 9:00am Kid’s Run WILD (ages 5-7) 200 Yard Dash
  • 9:05am Wee Run WILD (ages 4 & under) 200 Yard Dash
  • 9:40am Running WILD 7K Trail Run
  • 9:45am Running WILD 1M LIFE HIKE

🏆 Awards

• All Kid’s Participants: Receive a finisher ribbon and gift bag.
• 7K Finishers: Unique finisher woodallion awarded.
• Top Finishers: Beautiful bottles of Maple Syrup for top overall male & female 7K & 1Milers.
• Age Division Awards: Given to the top three male and female 7K participants in specified age categories.

🚰 Course Amenities

• Water Stops: Three water stops on the 7K course, near mile 1, 3 & 4.
• First Aid: Available at the finish line and at Josh Hanson Memorial Picnic Shelter.
• Parking: Day park pass included: parking limited, carpooling encouraged.
• On the Course: Headphones are allowed: strollers & pets are not permitted.

🚻 Facilities

• Restrooms: Portable toilets available by the finish/start line and in the building below the picnic shelter.
• Miscellaneous: Signature mat for participants to sign, a Selfie Station, and encourage sack lunches and swimming gear.

The money we raise goes to further the services to women, children and men of the community through pregnancy testing, first trimester ultrasounds, STI testing & treatment, educational programs, and much more at Health Resources Center. www.hrcff.org
