Red Coyote Spring Full/Half/Quarter Marathon Training Program

🏃‍♂️ Training Overview

• Programs Offered: The Red Coyote 16 week Half/Full Marathon Training Program and 8 week Quarter Marathon Training Program.
• Goal: Train for the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon on April 26, 2026, or any spring event.
• Inclusivity: All abilities are welcome, whether you're a first-time runner or seeking a new personal record.
• Support: More than 60 experienced pace group coaches will provide guidance and motivation.

📅 Training Schedule

• Start Date: Half/Full Marathon Training begins on Tuesday, January 6th at 6:00pm.
• Locations: Runs originate from Red Coyote Classen Curve or top running spots in the metro area.
• Sunday Long Runs: First run on January 11th at 6:00am/6:30am.
• Note: No in-person meeting on April 5th (Easter): it will be an OYO day.

🏅 Quarter Marathon Training

• Program Start: Quarter Marathon Training begins Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:00pm.
• Schedule: Meets same time as Half/Full group, with separate mileage plan.
• Sunday Start Time: Runs start at 6:30am at Red Coyote Classen Curve.
• Special Dates: Adjusted locations on March 15th, 29th, and April 12th.

🎯 Pace Groups

• Options: Pace groups range from 7-20 minutes per mile for different levels.
• Flexibility: Choose your group during registration but switch freely as needed.
• Focus: Full marathon groups train up to a 13-14 minute pace due to race cut-off.
• Rucking: Special groups for rucking in the Half & Quarter distance.

📚 Additional Information

• Cost: The training programs are free!
• Welcome Materials: Participants receive a training handbook and a Facebook group link.
• Informational Meeting: Scheduled for Tuesday, December 16th at 7:00 PM, in-person and via Zoom.
• Meet & Greet: January 4th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Red Coyote Classen Curve.
