🏃‍♂️ Race Registration

• Deadline: Pre-registration ends Wednesday, February 19 at midnight.
• In-Person Registration: Available on race day starting at 12 p.m. with increased cost.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Only those pre-registered by February 12th are guaranteed a t-shirt.

🎉 Race Overview

Spend the day celebrating the life of John Wesley Holt with a 5K course and Fun Run beginning and ending at St. Luke's Episcopal School in Mobile, Alabama. Both 5K and Fun Run are available to both runners and walkers! All proceeds from the John Wesley Holt Legacy Run support the scholarship fund established in memory of John Wesley Holt, Class of 2021. John Wesley tragically lost his life in a hit and run accident on February 18th, 2023. He was an Eagle Scout and a sophomore electrical engineering major at the University of South Alabama. To honor his memory, the Holt family has established the John Wesley Holt Legacy Scholarship awarded annually to a St. Luke's senior who has shown the same passion and dedication that John Wesley exemplified in all parts of his life: Character, Academics, and Athletics. 📅 Pre-Race Events

• Packet Pick-Up: Day before race from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at St. Luke's Student Services.

🏆 Awards and Recognition

• 5K Awards: Top male and female overall will be recognized.
• Age Group Awards: Top three males and females in 5-year age groups (ages 15 - 75+).
• Children's Awards: Top three males and females in age groups: 4 & under, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.
• Awards Ceremony: Light refreshments will be provided to race participants following the 5K Race.

• Food Trucks: Available on site.
• Car Wash: Services offered on race day.

All proceeds from the car wash and a percentage from food trucks will be given to the John Wesley Holt Foundation.

John Wesley Holt Legacy Race will take place rain or shine. Organizers reserve the right to cancel the event should the weather pose a danger to the safety of the participants and volunteers. Entry fees are not refundable and will be considered a donation to the John Wesley Holt Foundation.
