Event Overview
Join us in wonderful Riverbend Park for our annual Green Run - our race to save the environment and empower a cleaner brighter future! Compete in a 5k or 1 mile race (run or walk)! Enjoy a nature's Treasure seek that any participant may explore after the 5K or 1 mile race. The nature's Treasure seek course offers interesting information about our environment. Participants search for information stations and put together a clue upon completion.
Activities and Attractions
- Fun Activities: Don’t miss out on all the fun! The Green Run is surrounded by all the beauty of the Riverbend Park ecosystem.
- Educational Presentations: A naturalist will be presenting information and a few live animals after the races!
- Face Painting: Free face paintings will be available by Sunshine Painters.
Community Involvement
The Green Run is presented by the Partnership for Environmental Education (PFEE), an all volunteer nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide vital resources to the Jupiter Environmental Research & Field Studies Academy (JERFSA).
- Educational Program: JERFSA is a stellar 4 year public high school environmental science "choice program" open to students in Palm Beach County.
- Future Leaders: JERFSA has been preparing our next generation of leaders in environmental science since 1993.
- Community Service: Students are individually required to provide extensive community service hours over their four years in the program.
- Project Contributions: Through their participation, students engage in marine life surveying, reintroduction of native plant species, and construction of a wetlands project.
