Olympia Lakefair Races - Half Marathon, 8K & 3K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The Olympia Lakefair Races are part of a weekend-long running festival that features a Half Marathon, 8K and 3K: taking runners on routes that will circle around the town of Olympia and beyond into Tumwater and Thurston County.

📍 Starting and Finishing Points

• Location: All three races start on 5th Avenue in downtown Olympia, and finish on 5th Avenue in front of Heritage Park.
• 3K & 8K Routes: Both events circle Capitol Lake, with the 8K continuing into Tumwater Historical Park before returning.
• Course Difficulty: Both are flat and fast courses.

🏞️ Half Marathon Course

The Jerry Miller Half Marathon heads briefly through downtown Olympia, then along the Woodland Trail and Chehalis Western Trail biking paths. The course continues on rural streets and a short trail and tour of Priest Point Park before heading back along East Bay Drive and running through downtown Olympia to the finish line at Heritage Park. Runners will enjoy tree-lined trails and scenic landscapes while enjoying flat and narrow paved trails throughout.

🎉 Festival Activities

• Post-Race Celebrations: Once runners have completed the course, they can enjoy festival activities that are held all around Heritage Park.
• Festival Highlights: Activities include food and beer tents, carnival rides, booths, a parade and more.
• Hospitality: Well80, the events hospitality sponsor, will also be open for meals a few blocks from the Finish line.
