• Description: The IceBreaker Challenge is a one of a kind Capital District running/walking road race challenging runners and walkers against rowers from the Albany Rowing Center. Runners/walkers will travel along the Corning Preserve Bicycle Path while rowers from the Albany Rowing Center will race alongside in shells on the Hudson River.

• Purpose: Major fundraiser for the Albany Rowing Center.
• Goal: Helps to expand access to rowing and to the Hudson River for community members of all ages.
• Event Venue: Albany Rowing Center Boathouse in the Corning Preserve.
• Community Engagement: Join us for this unique and exciting event!

Race Details

• T-shirts: This year we will be providing souvenir t-shirts to the first 250 registrants.
• Prizes: Prizes from a local vendor for all race category winners!
• Registration Opens: 8:00 a.m.
• Kids Run: Starts at 9:30 a.m. 5K starts at 10:00 a.m.

Packet Pick-Up

• Date & Time: Friday, March 27 from 4-7 p.m.
• Location: Common Roots Albany Outpost
• Race Day Pick-Up: Begins at 8:00 a.m.
• Last Chance Registration: Also available during packet pick-up.

Parking Information

• Location: Available at the Corning Preserve Boat Launch.
• Overflow Lot: Parking attendants will direct you if the boat launch lot fills.
• Accessibility: Parking is facilitated to ensure ease for all participants.
• Plan Ahead: Arrive early to secure parking!
