SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2025... IT'S NOT A RUN, IT'S AN EXPERIENCE!

The South Padre Island Muzicians Run 5k/10k is making running fun by infusing the course with LIVE Mariachis along the course about every half mile and rewarding participants with tacos, beer & margaritas at the finish!

Everyone is invited to participate in this fun run/walk... from speed demons, casual runners and even walkers, enjoy the music! You'll get AWESOME swag/perks like no other race followed by a Mariachi After Party! OUR 5k/10K WILL NOW WILL BE A TIMED CHIPPED EVENT! PLUS this year it's on Dia De Los Muertos so that is part of the theme too!

SATURDAY EVENING, NOVEMBER 1, 2025

Mariachis, Mariachis, Mariachis... plus tacos and drinks after! The event and the start/finish of the run/walk takes place at the Beach Waterpark (previously named Schlitterbahn Waterpark South Padre Island located) at 33261 State Park Road 100, South Padre Island, Texas 78597.

📅 Race Day Schedule

All activities are hosted at Beach Waterpark on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

• 10:30 am to 4:30 pm: Expo, Packet Pick-Up & Same Day Registration
• 4:50 pm: Announcements & National Anthem
• 5:00 pm: 5k/10k/1Mile Start Time
• 5:30/5:45 pm: After Race Party Begins
• 6:30 pm: Awards

🚗 Parking Information

Beach Waterpark offers FREE parking! However, parking is on a first come, first serve basis: please plan ahead and arrive EARLY for Packet Pickup and enjoy the Expo.

🏃 Course Information

This is a fun run with flat out-and-back courses that start about one hour before sunset. The courses have a loose open time of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Go fast if you’d like but we welcome you to slow down and enjoy the music along the route.

🎭 What to Wear

Wear your usual or favorite running apparel if you’d like… OR wear a costume! This is a fun run so we welcome themed costumes. Make sure you do so safely!

🏆 Awards

This is a music fueled fun run so we encourage enjoyment of the course. Speed racers will be chip timed with Age Group Awards and Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd Female and Male categories in both the 5K and 10K!

🎊 Muzicians After Party

After the run is the after-party concert! Enjoy your free taco and margarita or beer while listening to the music of local entertainment. Additional food and beverage options may be available for purchase.
