SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2025... IT'S NOT A RUN, IT'S AN EXPERINCE!

The South Padre Island Muzicians Run 5k/10k is making running fun by infusing the course with LIVE Mariachis along the course about every half mile and rewarding participants with tacos, beer & margaritas at the finish!

Everyone is invited to participate in this fun run/walk... from speed demons, casual runners and even walkers, enjoy the music! You'll get AWESOME swag/perks like no other race followed by a Mariachi After Party! OUR 5k/10k WILL NOW BE A TIMED CHIPPED EVENT! PLUS this year it's on Dia De Los Muertos so that is part of the theme too!

What You Get

The event and the start/finish of the run/walk takes place at the Beach Waterpark (previously named Schlitterbahn Waterpark South Padre Island) at 33261 State Park Road 100, South Padre Island, Texas 78597

Race Day Schedule

10:30 am to 4:30 pm: Expo, Packet Pick-Up & Same Day Registration
4:50 pm: Announcements & National Anthem
5:00 pm: 5k/10k/1 Mile Start Time
6:30 pm: Approximate Awards

Expo & Packet Pick-Up

Pick up your race packet and shop... hang out and have fun with your family & friends! The expo features fitness apparel from various vendors and sponsors. Packet Pick-up will take place on race day, Saturday 11/1 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm under La Palapa at the Beach Waterpark located at 33261 State Park Rd 100, South Padre Island, TX 78597.

PARKING

FREE parking: Beach Waterpark offers free parking!
Plan ahead: Ample parking is available: arrive early for Packet Pickup and enjoy the Expo.

Courses

This is a fun run with flat out-and-back courses that start about one hour before sunset, setting the perfect scenario to enjoy the start of a South Padre Island sunset and muzicians/live entertainment set along the route.

Awards

This is a music fueled fun run, encouraging enjoyment of the course. For speed racers, we are NOW a chip timed run with Age Group Awards and Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd Female and Male categories in both the 5K and 10K!
