Welcome to the 19th Annual Golden Gallop

“Howdy Folks! Welcome to Golden, where the west RUNS!”

Event Details

• Date: Sunday, September 21, 2025
• Location: 701 24th St, Golden, CO
• Course: Same great course through downtown under the Golden 'Welcome' arch, with the start and finish at Golden High School.
• Event Type: 5k and 10k loops as in previous years.

Dog Participation

• Well-behaved dogs: Welcome to join for the 5K and 10K!
• Registration: Must register your dog in the "Add On" section if they are joining.
• Giveaways: Registered dogs will receive a Gallop giveaway, such as a bandana or collar charm.
• Note: Dogs cannot participate in the Kids Fun Run.

Starting Line Information

• Position: Runners with dogs and/or strollers must be at the back of the pack.

Event Options

• 5K: A scenic race through the heart of Golden.
• 10K: A longer challenge for seasoned runners.
• Kids Fun Run: Perfect for our younger participants.
• Sleep In: For those that can't make it on race day or just want to sleep in.

Awards and Recognitions

• Cash Prizes: $150 for first place, $100 for second, $50 for third for both male and female categories in 5K and 10K.
• Age Group Awards: Categories for both 5K & 10K (10 and Under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+).
• Course Record Bonus: A $100 bonus for anyone who sets a new course record.
• T-shirt Size: Register by September 1st to guarantee your preferred size.

Support Our Schools

The Golden Gallop is the annual fundraiser for the Golden Schools Foundation (GSF) which provides educational funding for our seven Golden neighborhood articulation schools. GSF is a 501(c)(3) formed to help encourage a high level of performance and accountability at the Golden neighborhood articulation schools. The Golden Gallop helps make it possible to provide $40,000 in support to our Golden schools on an annual basis.
