Race Overview
The most unique race in Southern Indiana! As underground temperatures year-round are 54 degrees, this will undoubtedly be the coolest July race around.
Course Details
- Start Location: The course will start at the Boys & Girls Club of Crawford County, on S 2nd street.
- Route: Proceeding down SR 64 passing Marengo Cave and through downtown Marengo.
- Milestone: At the 1 mile point, participants enter the underground Marengo Warehouse for a cave-like experience.
- Finish Line: Doubling back to finish just across the railroad tracks in downtown Marengo.
Race Features
- Terrain: The underground warehouse features several back and forth hairpin turns, eventually leading down a corridor of offroad-like but smooth terrain.
- Indoor Experience: The entry point is shortly after the 1 mile interval where the indoor portion is right at 2 miles in total.
- Conditions: Inside you will find good lighting, good temperature, and fast and flat terrain.
- Unique Appeal: A destination race that will offer major relief from the hot summer and a scene like none other.
