Van Metre 5K Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The Van Metre 5K Run was established in 1992 to benefit Children's National Hospital. The event includes a One Mile Fun Run/Walk inviting everyone from serious runners, occasional joggers, and walkers of all skill levels to participate. To date the Van Metre 5K Run has raised over $3.5 million dollars in support of Children's National.

• Interactive Warm Up: Activities for kids to get moving.
• Arts and Crafts: Fun creative activities available on-site.
• Face Painting: A delightful experience for children.
• Post-Race Celebrations: Cash prizes for top runners and additional raffle prizes.

🍕 Refreshments

Refreshments and snacks are provided by local restaurants and businesses and include everything from bottled water, fresh fruit, granola, muffins, donuts, and cupcakes to a complimentary slice of pizza for everyone in attendance.

• Course Certification: The Van Metre 5K Run provides a USATF certified course.
• Timing System: Uses a ChronoTrack race timing system with disposable B-tags.
• Participants: Suitable for corporate teams, families with strollers, and dogs.

💵 Registration Fees

• 5K Adult: $30
• 5K Youth (12 & Under): $20
• 3-Person Corporate Team: $110
• 4-Person Corporate Team: $125
• 1 Mile Adult: $25
• 1 Mile Youth (12 & Under): $15

Online registration will remain open through 8:00 am on race day, Saturday April 11.

📦 Packet Pick Up

• Thursday, April 9: 4-7pm at =PR= One Loudoun (20432 Exchange St., Ashburn, VA 20147).
• Friday, April 10: 12-5 pm at Rubino's Pizzeria (43170 Southern Walk Plaza, Broadlands, VA 20148).
• Saturday, April 11: 7:30-8:15 am at Event Venue (Broadlands Marketplace).

Race participants will receive a special edition t-shirt and custom race bib.
