Tomahawk Pow Wow Days 5K/10K/Fun Run

Event Overview

The 50th annual Pow Wow Days 5K, 10K, 1 Mile Fun Runs take place in conjunction with the annual 4th of July Lion's Day Festivities in Tomahawk.

All races depart from Veterans Memorial Park on the beautiful Wisconsin River. Click HERE for a Google Earth Map of all race routes and location details.

Race Details

• 10K Route: Scenic route along the river towards Kings Hill just past the historic Kings Dam.
• 5K Course: Looped course following the 10K route for approximately 2400 meters before cutting across School District of Tomahawk property.
• Mile Fun Run: Looped course for all ages, with awards only for those 12 and under.
• Start Times: 5K/10K races start at 8:30 AM: Mile Fun Run begins around 9:30 AM.

Registration Information

• Bib and T-Shirt Pick-Up: Starts at 7:00 AM under the gazebo in the park.
• Pre-Registration Deadline: Ends at Noon on Thursday, July 3rd.
• Race Day Registration: Closes at 8:15 AM with no guaranteed t-shirt.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Must register before 6/11/2027 to ensure a t-shirt.

Awards and Prizes

• Costume Contest: "Most Patriotic" costume contest with prizes for the top three outfits.
• Finishers Medals: Top one-hundred 10K finishers guaranteed to receive a medal.
• Age Group Medals: Top three finishers in each age group for the 5K and 1-mile Fun Run will receive medals.
• Pick-Up Location: Awards table under the gazebo: ensure you have your race bib for verification.

Important Reminders

• Awards Ceremony: No ceremony: awards for 5K and Fun Run must be picked up after finishing.
• Weather Contingency: In the event of inclement weather, the race may be rescheduled pending City of Tomahawk approval.
• Email Notifications: Check your email and listen to local radio station (WJJQ 92.5) for updates.
