Fundraising Purpose

• Support: African wildlife rangers in the Ol Jogi Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya.
• Participation: Everyone who runs or walks will receive a Run Wild t-shirt.
• Distances: Sign up for either a 5k or 10k distance.
• Event Significance: This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year.

Race Details

• 10k Start Time: 8:00 AM
• 5k Start Time: 8:15 AM
• Participant Guidelines: Participants walking or pushing strollers will be asked to line up in the back of the queue.
• Kids Fun Run: Begins at 9:30 AM.

Packet Pickup

• Pickup Location: Zoo’s Guest Services building.
• Pickup Dates: From 10 AM to 4 PM starting Friday, September 12.
• Early Pickup Recommendation: We encourage participants to pick up their race packets early.
• Shirt Size Guarantee: We cannot guarantee shirt sizes if you wait until the day of the race.

Conservation Impact

• Funding Purpose: All dollars raised will support Henry Vilas Zoo and our conservation partner, the Ol Jogi Wildlife Rangers.
• Conservancy Size: 58,000 acres in Laikipia, Kenya.
• Conservation Focus: Providing a safe habitat for indigenous and critically endangered species.
• Community Involvement: Rangers work closely with surrounding communities to provide support and benefits from conservation efforts.
