Get ready for our 14th annual event and the first edition of our sweet-themed race! This year, we’re inviting you to race through the whimsical world of Candy Land! As you journey through the course, you'll encounter deliciously fun, candy-themed surprises at every turn. It's like running through a giant candy kingdom, where every step is filled with sweet adventure!

Join us for the 2025 Schechter on the Move 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run, managed and timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing. Your participation helps support the Krieger Schechter Day School! We can't wait to see you at this annual event that brings our community together for a day of fitness and fun. All proceeds from the race will support the KSDS Scholarship Fund.

POST-RACE ACTIVITIES TO BE ANNOUNCED! Whether you choose to run or walk, the sweetness doesn’t end at the finish line! Join us for a lively post-race festival, where the fun continues with our amazing community.

💰 Registration Info

NEW THIS YEAR - TIERED REGISTRATION PRICING: Register early to save on registration fees and secure your spot in this sweet event!

• 5K Race: $36 per person if you register by March 14: $42 per person if you register by April 30: $48 per person if you register after May 1
• 1 Mile Fun Run: $18 per person if you register by March 14: $21 per person if you register by April 30: $24 per person if you register after May 1

🤝 Race Supporter

Are you not a morning person and want to join us later for the post-race activities? Or do you just want to cheer on your KSDS family? The Race Supporter option is for you! You can arrive early and cheer on our runners, arrive later for the post-race festivities, or if you can’t make it, register for this option to still support our cause and event. The Race Supporter option is available for $18 per person.

💖 Donate and Fundraise

We can't do it without your support! While your registration fee helps cover the costs of organizing the race and includes your race shirt, we encourage you to go above and beyond by creating your own fundraiser or making an additional donation to Krieger Schechter Day School. Your extra contribution helps raise the critical funds needed to ensure a Krieger Schechter education is accessible to all who wish to be part of our community. Every donation makes a difference!

📦 Packet Pick-Up

To ensure a smooth race day experience, we have prepared a package for all participants that includes the 2025 CandyLand-themed T-shirt, race bib and pertinent race-day information.

Please plan to pick up your package on:
Thursday, 5/29 between 3-5 p.m.
or Friday, 5/30 between 2:30-4 p.m.
in the LBM (Library Beit Midrash), located in the Chizuk Amuno Administrative Hallway.

If you are not able to pick up your package during the designated times, you may pick it up between 8:00-8:30 a.m. the day of the race.

⏰ Timeline of Race Day

Day-of Packet Pick-up begins at 8 a.m.
5K Run Start Time 9 a.m.
1 Mile Fun Run 9:05 a.m. (1 Mile Fun Run begins shortly after the 5K)
Post-Race Festival 9:30 a.m.

🏆 Awards

The Awards Ceremony will take place during the post-race celebration following the race (approximately 10:15 am).

Awards will be given to the top finisher in each KSDS grade level (K-8). We will also announce winners for the top finisher in the following categories: Faculty, Alumni, and Adults (18 years or older).

ℹ️ Additional Information

• Parking: Parking is available on-site.
• Children: Children under 10 must run/walk with an adult.
• T-Shirts: All runners registered by Wednesday, April 30 will receive a t-shirt. Shirts are not guaranteed after this date.
• Safety: For the safety of our runners, the 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is closed to bikes, rollerblades, skateboards, and pets. Strollers may be used for our 1 Mile Fun Run.
• Course Support: Water stop and mile markers will be placed throughout the course.
