Join us for the 2026 PRTC Rice Run!
The Rice Run is an annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run hosted by the Colleton County Rice Festival and Presented by Palmetto Rural Telephone Coop.
5K Run
- Distance: A scenic 3.1 mile race through a quaint, downtown neighborhood and Walterboro Wildlife Sanctuary.
- Course: The course starts with a gradual incline, turns into a winding, paved nature trail followed by a few rolling hills, and ends with a flat decline.
- Certification: Course Certification Code SC22009BW
Awards
- CASH PRIZES: As always, there are CASH PRIZES for our top placers!
- 1st Place: 5K Overall Male & Female: $150 each
- 2nd Place: 5K Overall Male & Female: $75 each
- 3rd Place: 5K Overall Male & Female: $50 each
- Masters: 1st Place Only 5K Masters Male & Female: $50 each
- Age Group Awards: ...and top 3 age group awards for each decade from 12U-70+:
1 Mile Fun Run
- For All Ages: For all ages, runners and walkers — the Fun Run is just that — for FUN!
- Participation: It is not a race, so no placements or individual awards will be given.
