Queen City Mile

Event Details

• Date: 2026-08-15
• Location: 55 Chicago Street, Buffalo, NY
• Packet Pickup: From 4-6 PM inside Resurgence Brewing in the beer garden
• Race Start Times: 6:00 PM (kids), 6:20 PM (all women), 6:40 PM (all men)

Race Overview

• Challenge: Have you ever run a mile as fast as you can? Do you think you have what it takes to compete with the best of the best?
• Community: Come out and show out for a fast and fun mile race through the heart of the Old First Ward.
• Experience: Whether it’s your first mile or your 200th mile, come out and chase your 2026 running goals in this fast race!
• Post-Race: After the race swing by Resurgence and enjoy some cold beverages with your best mates.

Registration Information

• Deadline: Make sure to sign up by July 16 to ensure a race shirt!
• Availability: A small amount of shirts will be available for sale after the registration deadline.

Prizes and Awards

• Custom Prizes: Custom prizes for the winners.
• Prize Money: Prize money paid only to USATF Niagara association members that win.
• Course Record Bonus: $100 bonus for setting a new course record.

Event Significance

• Racing Series: This race is part of the USATF Niagara runner of the year series and Buffalo runner of the year series.
• Heats: Heats will be split up by gender with a separate kids race.

Charity Goals

• Purpose: Goal to raise money for 2 scholarships awarded in 2027.
• Youth Scholarship: One scholarship for a youth to attend 1 week of Snyder Track and Field Summer camp.
• High School Scholarship: One scholarship for a high schooler to attend Blue Mountain XC camp for one week.
