🌟 Alfred University Wellness Center HDD Glow 5K Run/Walk "Get Your Glow On!"

📅 April 25th, 2025 - Check-In Registration at 7:00pm - Race Begins at 8:00pm - Dress in Your Brightest Neon and Glow Gear!

Date of Event and Location: The Glow Run/Walk will take place on April 25th, 2025 as part of Alfred New York’s Annual Hot Dog Day (HDD) Celebration. The 5K Glow Run/Walk will begin and end at the Village Bandstand located on the front lawn of Alfred University.

Donation Information: Alfred University Wellness Center has chosen to donate the proceeds from this Glow Walk/Run to the Alfred University Food Pantry (AUFP). You can read more about the AUFP at https://my.alfred.edu/emergency-assistance/food-pantry.cfm. Please feel free to bring donations of non-perishable food items if you like.

Registration/Check-In Information: Registration and check-in will begin at 7:00pm at the Village Bandstand and is required for all participants. Please ensure that you allow yourself adequate time to park and register/check-in.

Emergency Information and Liability Waivers: All participants of the Glow Run/Walk categories will be required to agree to liability waivers found in the registration form.

Start Time: The 5K Glow Run/Walk will begin at 8:00 pm. Registration begins at 7:00pm.

Cost: The cost of participation for the races is $5 for K-12 students as well as students of the Alfred University and SUNY Alfred State Communities. For all other community members, the cost of the Glow 5K Run/Walk is $15.

Food/Water for the Walk/Run: Light snacks and bottled water will be provided to participants free of charge thanks to our generous donors such as Wegmans and AVI Foodsystems.

Prizes: A Prize will be awarded to the highest (first) place overall finisher of the glow 5K Run/Walk. A Prize will also be given for best glow attire!

Race Timing Disclaimer: Please note that this is considered a non-competitive “Fun” Run/Walk and official times will not be recorded or considered for any purpose other than to give prizes to the first overall finisher of the Run/Walk.

Race Route: For 2025, we will be following a new route across the Alfred University Campus. Participants will complete 3 laps of approximately 1 mile each lap. Water Stations: 2 water stations will be set up along the course of the race route.

Glow Gear: Come early to decorate yourself with provided glow paint, glow sticks, and other provided "glow gear!"

Refund Policy: Please note that we are unable to process refunds at this time.

Pet Policy: Please note pets are welcome at this event at the responsibility of their owners.

About the Alfred University (AU) Wellness Center: The AU Wellness Center is a comprehensive facility that provides free medical, counseling, and health education services to students of the Alfred University Campus. Each year, the AU Wellness Center hosts the Hot Dog Day 5k Run/Walk in an effort to raise donations for a notable health-related cause.
