AAPI New Jersey Color Run

COLOR RUN: SUNDAY, APRIL 26, 2026

Join AAPI New Jersey for our fifth annual Color Run—a vibrant, family-friendly 5k and 1-mile Fun Run through Brookdale Park in celebration of Holi and Songkran.

ABOUT THE RACE

• Celebration: Celebrate the spirit of two vibrant festivals! Holi, the Hindu "Festival of Colors" and "Festival of Spring," marks the end of winter and honors the triumph of good over evil.
• Traditions: Songkran, the Thai New Year, is a lively water festival that washes away bad luck and welcomes renewal and prosperity.
• Community: Inspired by these traditions, Color Run 2026 will bring the community together for a morning of movement, laughter, and cultural celebration.
• Experience: Participants will race through Brookdale Park, getting splashed with colorful powder along the way.

DETAILS

• Registration: Registration is open to all, but space is limited to 1,500 participants—sign up now to secure your spot!
• Detour: There will be a detour at the finish line for participants who prefer less color. (Note: it will be difficult to completely avoid the colored powder, so please take that into consideration before registering for the race.)
• Strollers: Strollers are welcome, but we ask that they start at the back of the pack for safety considerations.
• Children: Children under two years old do not need to register. Please, no dogs (although we love them!). Both races will take place rain or shine. No refunds.

• 8:30 am: 5k Race starts
• 10:00 am: 1-mile Fun Run starts

All proceeds raised will support AAPI New Jersey's mission to create a more inclusive community by uplifting the varied experiences of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, advocating for AAPI rights and representation, and promoting awareness and education around AAPI culture and history.
