Registration and Packet Pickup
- Race Time: Race starts at 8:00 am.
- Packet Pickup: Registration will start at 7:00 am at the Virginia High School entrance.
- Online Registration: Will be closed at this time.
- Parking: Available in the Virginia School lots or near the ball diamonds.
General Information
- Event Type: Redbird Run is a fun 5K run and walk hosted during the Virginia, IL BBQ.
- Community Support: The Virginia BBQ is a small town festival with the support of a dashing community.
- Activities: Event includes a pageant, vendors, parade, carnival rides, and entertainment from June 5-7.
- Hosting Team: The Virginia Cross Country Team, consisting of fifth - twelfth graders from Virginia and Triopia schools.
Event Goals
- Financial Purpose: Money raised will support student success celebrations, new uniforms, and workout equipment.
- Athlete Participation: Athletes participate in 25 meets from August to October.
- Achievements: Last year, two Jr. High athletes and one High School athlete competed at state and sectional levels.
- Improvements: Other athletes made significant improvements in their performance.

- Location: Race will begin and end near Virginia School.
- Course Highlights: The route will include the Virginia BBQ Square, Cass County Fair Grounds, Rexroat Prairie, and Virginia Park.
- City Views: Participants will experience beautiful views of the city of Virginia.
Prizes
- Awards: Prizes for top male and female runners in each category.
- Categories: Overall, 14 & Under, 15-24, 25-44, 45-59, and 60+.
