FYMO's 7th "Giving to Live" 5K Cancer Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Everyone is invited to register now for FYMO's 7th “Giving to Live” 5K Cancer Run/Walk and Wellness Expo fundraiser to benefit cancer patients and those in recent remission. Our mission is to help ease the financial burden many face while fighting cancer. The proceeds from this event will go to children and adults living with cancer for medication costs, living expenses, transportation costs, and home care costs.

🎗️ About the Beneficiary

This year, we are raising funds for 16-year-old Jamaal who learned he had Hodgkins Lymphoma 10 days before his 16th birthday and 2 weeks into his junior year of high school. He made numerous trips back and forth to the hospital for chemotherapy instead of attending school this year with his fellow classmates. Help us help him and the others who will benefit from this event on August 16, 2025, with health-related and living expenses, by participating in our 5K Run/Walk. Together, we will run/walk miles around cancer.

• Live Entertainment: Enjoy live music throughout the event.
• Wellness Services: Complimentary massages and mini facials will be provided.
• Fun for Kids: A Kidz Fun Run and various activities for children will be available.
• Raffle Prizes: Participate for a chance to win exciting prizes and receive a free T-shirt & swag bag (while supplies last).

🕒 Schedule of Events

• 7:30 AM: Wellness Alley Open (7:30AM-2:00PM)
• 7:30 AM: Registration/Check-in
• 8:30 AM: Warm up
• 9:00 AM: Run begins
• 9:05 AM: Walk begins
• 10:00 AM: Kids Fun Race
• 10:30 AM: Award Ceremony

📍 Directions

Almaden Lake Park is located in south San Jose. Take Hwy 85 South to Almaden Expwy exit. Go south on Almaden Expwy & turn left on Coleman Ave, turn right on Winfield. Parking lot entrance will be on your right. You can also park on Winfield Drive.

Run course will be along the Los Alamitos Creek Trail

Packet pick-up information will be emailed 2 weeks prior.
