“Run Like a Girl” is a walk/run event to spread awareness and fight for justice for women and victims and survivors of sexual violence.

• Date: April 19th, 2026
• Check-in: 11:30am
• Start Time: 12 noon
• Location of Start: Outside of the UHY on the sidewalk/pavement

📍 Location

Marcelle Athletic Complex, baseball field, Siena University Campus

📏 Distance

• Length: 1.5 miles
• Statistics: Based on NSVRC, 1 in 5 women in the US experienced completed or attempted rape during their lifetime.
• Extra Distance: Attendees can run/walk the route twice if they wish to go a longer distance.

👥 Who Can Participate

The event is open to all in the community, Siena University and Union College students, athletes, and faculty/staff.

💵 Cost

• Fee: Free
• Donations: Appreciated for Unity House of Troy
• Item Collection: We will be collecting feminine hygiene products at the event (pads, tampons, and pantiliners)
