Purpose and Sponsorship

- Mission: Provide clothes and school supplies to Region 8 kids in Rankin County.
- Focus: The neediest children in Rankin County, often our only means of clothing and supplies for school.
- Volunteer-Driven: Operated totally by volunteers with nearly 100% of funds raised spent on purchases.
About Emile and Brooke Craig
- Honoree: Named in honor of Emile and Brooke Craig.
- Legacy: Founded to continue the legacy of dedicated advocates for children in need.
- Incorporation: Officially incorporated as a nonprofit in Mississippi in 2022.
- Support: Emile was a long-time board member for Earline Ashley and NewDay Mississippi (501c3).
Our Mission
- Target Group: Children registered with Region 8 Mental Health.
- Support Criteria: Assistance based on screening by a qualified social worker.
- Eligibility: Qualification for disability benefits and meeting poverty level thresholds.
- Focus: Meeting educational and clothing needs.
Race Details
- Events: 5k walk, 5k run, 10k run/walk, and kids' fun run.
- Location: Clyde Muse Center on Hinds Community College campus, Pearl, MS.
- Refreshments: Plenty of food and drinks for all participants.
- Awards: Top 3 runners in 10-year age groups for the 5k walk, 5k run, and 10k.
Fundraising Opportunities
- Individual Fundraising: Raise $50 minimum for a free race entry.
- Team Fundraising: Create a team with $250 minimum for free entry for up to five members.
- Registration: Follow prompts during the normal registration process for fundraising options.
- T-Shirt Deadline: T-shirts for those who register no later than 5/15.
