- Course: This course is a 3.1-mile loop. Runners/Walkers will begin on the road and finish on the rail trail.
Schedule
- Kids Gobble Wobble: Starts at 8:50 AM, just before the 5K.
- Runners and Walkers: Event starts at 9 AM.
- Early Packet Pickup: Wednesday, November 25 at the Shinnston Lighthouse on Rebecca Street from 5 PM - 8 PM.
- Chip Timing: Provided from Pike Street Bikes. Bring your family and friends!
Prizes
- Cash Prizes: Top three overall Male and Female finishers will receive:
- 1st Place: $300.00
- 2nd Place: $200.00
- 3rd Place: $100.00
Scholarships and Donations
- Scholarship Fund: Funds from 2026 will go towards the Shinnston Turkey Trot Scholarship.
- Amount: $1,000.00 will be awarded to one male and one female high school senior enrolled in a cross-country or track-and-field program in West Virginia.
- Remaining Funds: Allocated to projects in Shinnston.
- Biggest Team: Will win the Turkey Cup!
Costumes and Awards
- Costume Contest: Winners will be recognized along with some silly awards.
- Age Groups: 5K Run age groups include:
- Male/Female 10 & Under
- Male/Female 11-13
- Male/Female 14-19
- Male/Female 20-29
- Male/Female 30-39
- Male/Female 40-49
- Male/Female 50-59
- Male/Female 60-69
- Male/Female 70-99
