Background: The third annual My Reason to Run Fundraiser is back — this time with a mission bigger than myself.
Survivor: In 2022, I, Britney Walters-Chester, survived leukemia, but cancer caused a stroke which left me with a paralyzed arm and limited use of my hand.
Recovery Efforts: Since then, I’ve worked tirelessly to regain function and independence, learning firsthand how critical access to recovery resources can be, and how difficult they often are to obtain.
Purpose: This race is about paying forward the support and hope that recovery requires.
Mission of the Race
Fundraising Goal: All funds raised will be donated to local individuals in need of stroke recovery assistance.
Resource Provision: Whether that’s helping provide access to therapy, medical devices, or vital resources that are often delayed or denied due to cost and insurance barriers.
Community Impact: Join us as we run for healing, resilience, and the belief that no one should face stroke recovery alone.
Together We Can: Together, we can help someone take their next step forward.
