Event Overview
The National MPS Society will host a timed 5K run & walk event, beginning at 9 AM on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Granada Launch Ramp, Long Beach, CA. This event is to raise money and awareness to help change the lives of those living with a rare disease.

Impact of Rare Diseases
10% of Americans suffer from a rare disease and less than 5% have an FDA-approved treatment. 3 out of 10 children with a rare condition do not live to see their 5th birthday, and we work to change this. Proceeds benefit the National MPS Society.
Virtual Participation
Not able to join in person? Participate virtually!
- Flexibility: Choose where, with whom, and how to complete the 5K.
- Timing: Run the 5K at any time leading up to October 10th.
- Incremental Tracking: Can be done in increments: keep track of distance until you reach the full 5K!
- Get Involved: Every step helps raise awareness for rare diseases.

- Platinum Corporate Sponsorship: $2,000 (includes corporate name and logo on back of t-shirt, website recognition, banner at the event and up to 25 participants)
- Gold Corporate Sponsorship: $1,500 (includes corporate name and logo on back of t-shirt, website recognition, small sign at the event and up to 20 participants)
- Team Sponsorship: $500 (includes corporate name and logo on back of t-shirt, website recognition, and up to 10 participants)

Race Schedule
- 7:30 AM: Onsite registration and packet pick-up
- 9:00 AM: 5K Run/Walk starts
- 10:00 AM: Awards presentation
- 10:30 AM: Beachside Picnic
Lunch is included in registration costs. Come out and enjoy a fun day to help raise awareness and funds for our MPS and ML families!
