🎉 Event Overview
Come and join us for this Inaugural Father's Day weekend event on Saturday June 14th, 2025 in the Oakleaf area of Jacksonville located at the Oakleaf Community Park at 3979 Plantation Oaks Blvd for a 10k competitive run and 4k race (where the participants have to eat a cup of popcorn) at the start and 1/2 way point.
🏃♂️ Course Details
- Distance: 10k competitive run and 4k race
- Terrain: Hybrid terrain of asphalt, compact sand, grass, and pine straw covered trail
- Loop Course: 1.2 mile flat and fast loop course
- Shade: 75% shaded by trees to keep you cool
🏅 Awards & Recognition
- Custom Medals: Everyone receives a unique medal
- Age Group Awards: Top 3 overall in male/female divisions and master's awards for each race
- Minimum Awards: At least 1st place award in each age group if there are 5 participants
- Unique Approach: Awards and giveaways that "think outside the box"
🎟️ Special Giveaway
- Football Tickets: At least 2 Jacksonville Sharks Arena Football tickets valued at $75
- Game Details: Up for grabs for the following weekend at Vystar Arena in downtown jax
- Seat Location: Club section at the 5 yard line, aisle seats
- Lucky Winner: Randomly chosen lucky dad on race day!
🌳 Community Contribution
A portion of the proceeds will go back to Clay County Parks and Recreation to put up signs for this trail and to signify areas of significant plants/species along the trail.
