Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office Bridge the Gap Community 5k

Event Overview

Join the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office for the 2nd annual Bridge the Gap Community 5K, a family-friendly community run/walk for men, women, and children. Held at the beautiful Rabbit Hill Park in Dacula, GA, this event encourages fitness, while also fostering relationships and positive connections between the community and law enforcement personnel. Participants get to enjoy a healthy, fun-filled event, establish impactful relationships, and support a worthy cause.

Course Description

The scenic course will take you through the park’s beautiful scenery and trails, around the dog park, the lake, and the soccer fields.

Proceeds

• Support Initiatives: All proceeds directly support the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and its community outreach initiatives.
• Backpacks: Providing free backpacks and school supplies at the annual Back-to-School Bash.
• Food Giveaway: Supplying meals to underserved families facing food insecurity through the annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway.
• Scholarships: Awarding scholarships to Gwinnett County children of law enforcement officers and military veterans.

Runners will run the 1.55-mile trail to the end and back to equal 3.1 miles.

Timing

The timing device for this event is RFID timing by Performance Race Services. To receive an accurate time, please confirm that your bib is:

• Visible: Clearly visible on the front of the torso.
• Unaltered: Unaltered and unmodified (not folded or wrinkled).
• Pinned: Pinned in all four corners.
• Uncovered: Uncovered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.).

Results are published live within a few minutes of completion and are chip to chip times for crossing the timing pad.

Overall M/F finishers and top 3 M/F in the below age groups:

• Age Groups: 1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
