Land Between the Lakes - The Great American Trail Race

Great American Trail Race - Land Between the Lakes - 21st year!

LBL trail runs will happen on the second Saturday in March. March 14, 2026.

Race Distances

• Options: 50 mile, 60KM, Marathon, and 23KM.
• Start: All races begin together along the shoreline of beautiful Kentucky Lake.
• Trail Head: Approximately 2 miles to the fabulous Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
• Canal Loop: The loop is approximately 11.3 miles, featuring mostly single-track, nicely packed dirt track.

Course Details

• Terrain: Rolling hills on the Lake Barkley side and larger hills on the Kentucky Lake side.
• Views: Expect spectacular views of both lakes.
• Runnability: The course is designed to be very runnable.

Dog Policy

• Policy: Dogs are not allowed to run or walk with any participant due to insurance policy.
• Alternative: We suggest you come early or stay later to walk the trails with your pups.
• Experience: The trails are enjoyable and your pups will love it.
