Moab Trail Marathon

EVENT INFORMATION

• Race Date: November 8th & 9th, 2025
• Championship Designation: The Moab Trail Saturday Half Marathon will again be designated as the USATF National Championship.
• Race Options: You may run the 1/2 marathon on either Saturday or Sunday (same course, same support, but two separate awards).
• Saturday Events: Marathon, 10K or Kids K will be offered on Saturday only.

Race Overview

• New Sunday Half Marathon: Added due to the Saturday’s 1/2 Marathon filling up very early.
• Sign-Up Reminder: All Saturday’s races will likely fill up by early June.
• Waitlist: There will be a waitlist but please try to sign up early!
• Sunday Entry Fee: Expected to remain open until early October and is considerably less.

Location

• Event Venue: Located in the spectacular and beautiful Kane Creek Canyon area near Moab, Utah.

Directions to Race Venue

• Directions: Heading south on Main Street Moab, turn right on Kane Creek Blvd at the McDonald’s.
• Stay on Path: Continue, staying left at the fork after about a mile, onto Kane Springs Road.
• Scenic Route: Follow alongside the Colorado River for just over 3 miles until the pavement turns to dirt.
• Packet Pickup: Will be held in the parking lot beyond the venue area between 2pm and 6pm on Friday.

Race Day Parking

• Parking Policy: NO on-site parking on race days (Saturday or Sunday).
• Shuttle Requirement: All participants must take the shuttle to/from the start or be dropped off by a friend/family member.
• Shuttle Location: Shuttles will leave from the south side of HMK Elementary School.
• Parking Options: Please park at the school, Swanny Park, or designated lots (but not on private property).

Registration Information

• Registration Platform: Register at RunSignUp.com. Limited to the first 900 to sign up for each day.
• Early Registration: Register early! Elite runners, please contact the race director if you need more time.
• Registration Benefits: Includes an incredible course, Chip Timing, t-shirt, goodie bag, aid stations, post-event soup and snacks, and more.
• Prizes: Top 3 M/F overall in each race, prizes to top age group finishers, a cash purse, and a title of “Half Marathon National Champion”.

Community Contribution

• Donation: A portion of your entry fee will be donated to local non-profit organizations.
• Beneficiaries: Includes the Humane Society of Moab Valley, Grand County Search & Rescue, Trail Mix, and Community Rebuilds.

Note: Saturday’s races have filled by mid-June the last 4 years.
