The ONLY short distance trail race in the city! Four miles of actual trail running, not bridle paths or gravel roads, but hiking trails!

• Marked Course: The entire course will be marked at regular intervals.
• Designed For: This course is designed to be a great introduction to trail racing or for a veteran to PR a challenging course!

• Bib Pickup: Bib pickup day of race.
• Pre-Race Info: Full information provided to registered racers about a week prior to race day.
• Dog-Friendly: Dogs with respectful and responsible owners may participate in the race.
• Awards: Medals for all finishers and prizes for top 3 Male and Female finishers.

Little known facts about the trails of Forest Park:

• Glaciation History: The Wisconsinian glaciation molded this land between 20,000 and 10,000 years ago and left the Harbor Hill Moraine, a series of small hills known as “knob and kettle” terrain, including Forest Park.
• Naturally Carved Trails: This means the trails are naturally carved, not manmade like most NYC parks.
• Explore Nature: Come explore and experience the beautiful 100-year-old pine grove and longest continuous oak forest in Queens!

🐾 In Memory of Pinky

This race is dedicated to Pinky the Pacer, the lil white and brown dog with the pink nose who completed several thousand miles of trail running through the woods of Forest Park in Queens. Legends never die.
