Event Details

• Background: The Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run began in 2019 in collaboration with the BCHS Cross Country team.
• Annual Event: This year marks the 6th annual run featuring a 5K and 15K trail run.
• New Start Location: Race start is moved to the new West Trailhead.
• Community Invitation: Plan a weekend in Dillon to enjoy the trails and the event.

Course Information

• 15K Course: 90% single-track with 2400’ of climbing, featuring steep climbs and technical descents.
• 5K Course: Similar technical mix with stunning views, also with some steep sections.
• Final Kilometer: The last kilometer of the 5K is all downhill, leading to smiles.
• Scenery: Trails are lined with gorgeous sagebrush hills and views of the Beaverhead River Valley.

Community and Recreation

• Local Charm: Dillon is known for its supportive small businesses, including flower shops and coffee shops.
• Outdoor Activities: Beaverhead County offers a plethora of outdoor recreation opportunities.

• Awards Ceremony: Food and awards will follow the races at the Trailhead, with free admission for runners.
• Registration: Spectators pay $5.00. Early packet pick-up the day before from 4pm to 6pm.
• Race Timing: Races are chip-timed by the Butte Track Club.
