Event Background

• Collaborators: Beaverhead Trails Coalition and Beaverhead County High School Cross Country team since 2019.
• Annual Event: This marks the 6th annual Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run.
• Trail Location: The event features a 5K and 15K trail run on the BTC’s High Trails.
• Start Location: New race start at the West Trailhead in 2026.

Course Details

• Terrain: Exclusively off-pavement with beautiful views of the Beaverhead River Valley.
• 15K Course: Challenging with 90% single-track and 2400’ of climbing.
• 5K Course: Similar technical mix but more manageable for many runners.
• Last Kilometer: All downhill, promising smiles at the finish.

• Race Day Timing: Starts at 8:00 am for 15k and 8:45 am for 5k: chip timed by Butte Track Club.
