Event Overview

• Celebration: Celebrate with us at our annual Tröegs Rugged Trail Run for Conservation!
• Support: Fundraiser in support of the Ned Smith Center's lands and trails system.
• Location: 500+ acres with over 9 miles of trails, scenic bridge, and educational programming.
• Partnership: Partnering with Tröegs Brewing Company for this exciting event!

Race Details

• Start Times: 5:00 PM for Hopback Trail and 5:10 PM for Rugged Trail.
• Post-Race Activities: After-party with live music, a basket raffle, food, drink, and vendors.
• Awards Ceremony: Begins around 7 PM: winners need not be present to receive awards.
• Dog Policy: Pets are welcome at the event but cannot participate in the race.

Registration Information

• Early Bird Rate: $45 for ages 13+ (12 and under is $15) until April 30, 2026.
• Standard Rate: $50 starting May 1, 2026: $55 on race day for ages 13+ (12 and under is $20).
• Included: Registration includes a t-shirt, pizza token, Tröegs Rugged Trail Ale token, and a SWAG bag.
• Same Day Registration: Limited supplies for t-shirts and SWAG bags on race day.

Packet Pick-up

• Early Check-in: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Friday, September 18th.
• Race Day Check-in: From 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM.
• ID Requirement: Show ID for wristband prior to race for adult participants.
• Food and Drink: Snacks and water bottles permitted: no outside food/beverages.

Race Routes

• HopBack Trail: Walker-friendly, ideal for beginners, scenic route along Wiconisco Creek.
• Rugged Trail: Challenging elevations and terrain with a 700 ft climb through Berry Mountain.
• Safety: Volunteers present along routes to guide participants.
• Shirts: Unisex sizes XS - XXL: register by August 16th to guarantee size.

Prizes and Post-Race Party

• Awards: Overall winners in each race and top age group winners recognized.
• Post-Race Party: Live music, food available for purchase, and featured Tröegs beer.
• Event Special: Limited Edition Rugged Trail Ale brewed for the occasion.
• Participant Perks: 5K t-shirt, free beer/root beer, pizza slice, and post-race snacks.
