Lake Monster 5k and 12k 2025

🏞️ Race Overview

• Event: The Lake Monster 5k, 12K, and 1.5 mile walk begins in A NEW LOCATION this year!
• Location: This year the race will begin at Chaumont's newest park, Veteran's Memorial Park at 12200 NYS Route 12E. (Next to Wise Guy's Restaurant)
• Route: Runners then make their way to Point Salubrious for a 5K out and back or 12K loop along the scenic Lake Ontario shoreline with views of Guffin, Sawmill and Chaumont Bay, as well as Cherry Island.
• Design: Our Lake Monster logo was designed by a Lyme Central School student, Rosamond Hunt, representing the lush Great Lakes wildlife.

📅 Date and Time

• Date: The timed road race and walk will start at 9 am on Sunday May 25th.

💲 Registration Fee

• Pre-registration: 25 dollars and day of registration is 30 dollars, this price includes a race timing chip.
• Non-timed event: The 1.5-mile walk is not timed.
• Online Only: All registrations will be online only. No paper or cash will be accepted.
• T-shirts: The registration fee does not include t-shirts. T-shirts can be purchased separately on our online store through May 19th.

🚻 Additional Race Information

• Facilities: There will be restroom facilities available, but no showers.
• Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in both the 5k and 12K, as well as each age category.

• Beneficiary: Proceeds will benefit Lyme Parks and Recreation and the Lyme Community Foundation.
