Syntrio is hosting our first veteran's walk in support of Base Camp Lindsey. We will be raising money for this local nonprofit while celebrating our military veterans. After the walk, we will have a celebration in Park Central with live music, food, and prizes! Come out and support a great cause.

🏠 Base Camp Lindsey Mission

Base Camp Lindsey's vision is to eliminate veteran homelessness in North Texas. Their mission is to treat each veteran with respect and compassion, in gratitude for their service to our country. They are currently raising funds to restore the building here in Wichita Falls in order to provide a temporary shelter for homeless veterans. This shelter will have 25 small apartments for veterans to live in, with access to clean restrooms, living and dining areas, laundry, kitchen, and a chapel.

💪 Support Services

However, this project is about more than simply getting homeless veterans off the street. Base Camp Lindsey offers a program for veterans to help them regain their independence, find stable housing outside the walls of the shelter, and reintegrate into civilian life. Although the building is not operational, Base Camp Lindsey currently offers assistance to veterans including:

Developing skills: resume writing, job interview, and everyday life skills
Support: transitioning from military to civilian life
Community: connecting veterans to one another and fostering a sense of community
Navigating services: with other local agencies
Providing assistance: bus passes, food, clothing, and hygiene needs
Identification assistance: help with obtaining identification documents
