Colorado Run for the Fallen 6 Hour Run/Walk/Ruck

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Join us on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Palmer Lake Regional Recreation Area for the 7th Annual Colorado Run for the Fallen—a 6-hour untimed run/walk/ruck hosted by the Honor and Remember – Colorado Chapter. This moving tribute honors over 450 Colorado military service members who made the ultimate sacrifice since the start of the Global War on Terror.

📋 What to Expect

• Run, walk, or ruck: at your own pace
• Carry the name: of a fallen service member
• Hear each hero's name: read aloud at tribute miles
• Join in a: Final Mile of Honor

This is not a race—there are no chips, no clocks, and no pressure. Whether you move 1 mile or all 6 hours, your presence honors a fallen hero. Each mile is dedicated to an individual service member, with their name, rank, and date of loss read aloud, followed by a ceremonial salute.

👕 Participant Benefits

All participants receive an event t-shirt. An aid station will be available with water, electrolytes, and snacks.

🌟 Gold Star Families

Gold Star families receive free registration. Please contact the race director for details.

🤝 Volunteers & Core Runners

• Volunteers are essential: check the volunteer tab to get involved.
• Core Runners: help carry memorial flags throughout the entire event and participate in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Please contact the race director if you are interested in serving as a Core Runner. Proceeds support Honor and Remember’s mission, including the presentation of personalized Honor and Remember Flags to Gold Star families in Colorado.
