Heart and Sole Half Marathon - 10K - 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

USTAF certified 13.1, 10K and 5K courses starting and ending at NEA Baptist Hospital. Mix of rolling hills and flat areas. The course will be well marked and have volunteers and activity on the course. Police will be present at highly traveled intersections and leading the 13.1 race.

⏱️ Participant Requirements

• Half-Marathon & 10K: participants must sign up as runners. The half marathon will have a 3 1/2 hour time limit, which is a 16 minutes/mile. If you start at 7:00am and are not keeping the pace you will be asked to come off the course.
• 5K Categories: The 5K course has walking and running categories. If you sign up as a Walker, you must walk the entire way. So if you plan to jog or run even a little bit, you need to sign up as a Runner to keep it fair for those that sign up as a Walker.
• Refueling: Powerade, water & food will be throughout the course. Participants can have their own water/food with them.

📦 Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up

Participants living in Craighead County must and Out of County & State participants can pick up packets & t-shirts on Friday. Pick Up will be a drive through and participants must stay in their car.

Packets will be given to drivers through their car window on Friday, September 27, Noon-6:30:00 pm, by the big tent at NEA Baptist Hospital, 4800 E Johnson, Jonesboro, AR 72405.

Please do not call the hospital and ask questions about the race-they will not know.

📅 Important Dates to Know about Registering

• 10K & Half Runners: LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE YOUR MEDAL AT THE FINISH LINE IS AUGUST 18th.
• All Participants:
  • LAST DAY TO RECEIVE A T-SHIRT IS SEPTEMBER 8th
  • LAST DAY TO REGISTER AS A RACE PARTICIPANT IS SEPTEMBER 14th
  • NO LATE OR DAY OF REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

  • 8:00 am 5K Race Start
• All Participants:
  • 8:30 Brunch will begin serving.

• Participant name, gender and age cannot not be changed.
• Request to change race categories will not be done after August 30.

• Our featured Hotel is Courtyard by Marriott which is directly across from NEA Baptist. The Heart & Sole room rate is $99. This will include fruit and granola bars for you to grab before you leave for the race on Saturday morning.
