🔍 Description

• Host: VALOR 22 is hosted by the NAU Cadet Axe Organization and the Military Order of the Purple Heart Foundation, with support from NAU AND ARMY ROTC.
• Commemoration: The event will honor the fallen during 9/11 and raise awareness for Veteran Suicide Prevention, PTSD, and TBI.
• Event Highlights: Consists of a 1K walk/fun run, 5K competitive run, 22K competitive trail run, and a 22K weighted ruck march.
• Vendors: Local and non-local vendors will be setup in various locations, including the SKYDOME and adjacent parking lot.

👶 Childcare

Provided by FORESIGHT LEARNING CENTER at the NAU SKYDOME or the outdoor football field adjacent to the start point, weather dependent.

🏆 Awards

• 1K: Race Gift
• 5K: Race Gift + Commemorative Medalion for Top runners
• 22K RUN: Race Gift + Commemorative Medalion for all finishers
• 22K RUCK: Race Gift + Commemorative Belt buckle for all finishers

🕒 Timeline

• 0600-0700: Parking, check-in
• 0630: Ruck check for 22K Ruck competitors
• 0700-0730: VALOR 22 official ceremony
• 0800: 22K RUN begins

📦 Packet Pickup

Race packets can be picked up at the NAU Army ROTC building located at 1415 S. San Francisco St, Flagstaff, AZ from 8-11 September during normal business hours. Packets will move to Run Flagstaff for pickup on the 12th of September from 12-6PM. Race day pickup will be from 0600-0645 in the SKYDOME.

🎯 Objectives

• Unique Ceremony: Conduct a unique and memorable 9/11 memorial ceremony.
• Recognition: Recognize efforts of all first responders (Police, Fire, EMS).
• Veteran Support: Recognize efforts of all active duty/retired veterans in all branches.
• AWARENESS: Spread awareness and services related to veteran suicide, TBI, and PTSD.
