Course Description

The race will begin at the corner of N Cravens and W Main St. and finish on N Cravens.

Awards

Awards will begin at 9:00a at the race finish line and be given for:

• Categories: Overall Male and Female Finishers, Masters, Grand Masters, and Seniors
• Age Divisions: 1-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

Packet Pickup

Packet pick up will be the morning of the race beginning at 5:30a-6:45a at the Finish line on N Cravens with the race starting promptly at 7a to beat the heat!

Registration

Register before 11:59p CST 7/6 to be guaranteed a shirt and medal. Same Day registration is available from 5:30-6:30a day of the race and will be $40 (cash, check or Cash App will be accepted).

Timing and Bibs

This race will use chip timing with bibs being assigned the day of the race. Please make sure your bib is worn on the front mid-center for the best readings.

Beat the Heat Challenge

This July, we’re turning up the temperature with a brand-new series for the boldest runners in the valley. River Valley Runners (RVR) and Western Arkansas Runners (WAR) have teamed up to present the ultimate summer test: the Beat the Heat Challenge!

• Race 1: July 11th: The Brent Morrison Memorial 8k
• Race 2: July 18th: The Johnson County Peach Fest 4 Miler
• The Prize: Every runner who completes the challenge will receive a limited-edition Beat the Heat Challenge Coin.
• Design: This custom-designed coin features our sweating chicken and peach duo, immortalizing your grit during the hottest stretch of the year.
