• Event: NVRC/19th Annual Herbie's Home Town Loop 4 Mile Run/Walk
• Date: Saturday, August 2nd, 2025
• Time: 8:30 a.m.
• Location: Rogers Stadium, Bellefonte Area High School, Bellefonte, PA

🙌 Volunteers Needed

• Support: If you cannot participate in the run/walk, we are looking for volunteers on race day.

🌟 Honoring Jeremy Herbstritt

• In Memory: Jeremy Herbstritt was a 1998 Bellefonte Area High School graduate who loved life and the outdoors.
• Tragic Loss: He, along with 31 other students and professors, were killed during a mass shooting on April 16, 2007 at Virginia Tech University.
• Established: Herbie’s Home "Town Loop" was created in 2007 by Jeremy's family and friends to honor him.
• Community Impact: This event aims to give back to the community who supported them during their time of grief.

🏆 Facility Development

• Legacy: We started this labor of love 19 years ago to build a track in the Bellefonte area.
• Realization: In 2019, the Jeremy Herbstritt and Lt. Jonas Martin Panik US Navy premier track and field facility became a reality at Rogers Stadium.

💪 This Year's Beneficiary

• Beneficiary: Rees Stewart and family
• About Rees: A cowboy who was tough and faced a diagnosis of Leukemia in August 2024.
• Support System: Surrounded by family and friends during his cancer treatment.
• Remission: In April 2025, Rees rang the bell at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, signaling he was done with treatment.

🎉 Community Events

• Arts & Crafts Fair: Participants are encouraged to visit the Bellefonte Arts & Crafts Fair on August 1-2.
• Shuttle Service: A free shuttle will be available from the high school after the race.

🏁 Race Course

• Course Length: The 4-mile course is wheel measured.
• Route: The run/walk begins and ends at the Bellefonte Area HS track, traversing the perimeter of Bellefonte.

💵 Entry Fees

• Early Registration: $30 if registered by July 30, 2025.
• Race Day: $35 thereafter, including on race day.
• T-shirts: Guaranteed to the first 50 entrants.
• Raffle: Raffle prizes will be available after the race!

📋 Registration and Pick-Up

• Registration Time: Race day registration and bib pick-up will start at 7 a.m. on August 02, 2025.
• Location: Rogers Stadium (Bellefonte Area track).
• Parking: Free parking is available at Bellefonte Area High School.

✍️ Payment Information

• Checks: Should be made payable to “NVRC” (Nittany Valley Running Club).
• Member Discount: All NVRC members receive a $5 discount!
