The Hawk Chief Run is an annual event held during the Pawnee Indian Veterans Homecoming to honor the memory of Hawk Chief, a noted Pawnee Scout and runner. Hawk Chief, also known as Kutawikucu Resaru, was a Pawnee Scout for the United States Army and is best known for running the first sub-four-minute mile during his time in service.
This event is a 5K Run and 1-mile fun walk. Registration is FREE and open to anyone: all ages are welcome!
Packet pick-up will begin at 6:30am on race day and end at 7:30am, at the pre-registration table.
