12th Annual Nicholas Fillinger Memorial Run

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The 12th annual Nicholas Fillinger Memorial Run will be held on July 18, 2026, on the beautiful campus of St. Bernard Prep School in Cullman, Alabama. Nicholas died tragically in a training accident in September 2013. St. Bernard was one of his favorite places to run. This run honors his memory with a run in one of his favorite places but also provides a team challenge (minimum of 5 runners but may be coed). Nicholas loved the team aspect of cross-country. The best way to honor his memory is to form a team and come compete.

This special event honors the memory of Nicholas Fillinger by bringing together family, friends, and community members to celebrate the fruit of Nicholas' life and the family, friends, and community he loved dearly and deeply.

• Support Causes: Your participation helps us remember Nicholas’s legacy and support the Cullman Cross Country and The Link.
• Community Spirit: Be part of a day filled with encouragement, remembrance, and community spirit.
• Heart and Purpose: Run with heart, purpose, and give all the glory and praise to God.

Age Group Awards (Top 3 Medals for each age group):

• 12 & Under: Female & Male
• 13-17: Female & Male
• 18-22: Female & Male
• 23-29: Female & Male
• 30-39: Female & Male
• 40-49: Female & Male
• 50-59: Female & Male
• 60-99: Female & Male

Team Awards: Trophies for Top 3 Teams. Must have at least 5 runners to score as a team, but you can have as many people as you want on the team.

All teams must be submitted to Trent Dean (tdean@cullmancats.net) before race day. Submit team name, the names of all the members on the team, and make sure each team member has registered online.
