🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The 2025 Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Fun Run and Rock’n Around the Pier Half Marathon will take place on Saturday, July 12 with a 7:00 am start time. 2025 marks the 55th running of the Rock to Pier Run and the 11th running of the Half Marathon.

🏖️ Fun Run Details

Distance: 6 miles beach run from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier.
Finish Line: Located at the iconic Cayucos Pier.
Open To: All ages and abilities.
Start Time: Both Events will begin at 7:00am.

🏅 Half Marathon Course

Course: Begins at Morro Rock, turns at Cayucos Pier, and returns.
Additional Route: At 10.5 miles, veer off the beach through soft sand for a 1 mile loop at a local park.
Finish Point: Ends back at Morro Rock.
Course Closure: Closed at 1:00pm for runners.

🚍 Transportation and Parking

Parking: Limited in Cayucos: encouraged to use provided bus transportation back to Morro Bay.
Availability: Plenty of parking at Morro Rock and nearby.
Advice: Arrive early.
Post-Event: Breakfast and awards will be held at Morro Rock.

💧 Additional Information

Shirt Availability: Limited sizes available while supplies last: some sizes sold out.
Water Stations: 3 available for Rock to Pier participants.
Course Note: Event is held on the beach—you will get wet!
Dogs: Not allowed on the course due to the Snowy Plover nesting season.
