🏃‍♂️ SAPD 5K Fun Run & Health Fair

Join us for the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) first-ever 5K Fun Run and Health Fair, benefiting local students and schools! This event is more than just a race—it’s a community-wide back-to-school drive supporting families and the dedicated teachers who often spend out-of-pocket to help their students succeed. There is no registration fee. Instead, each participant is asked to donate a school supply kit valued between $20–$35.

📅 Event Details

• Date: July 12, 2025
• Time: 8 AM start at SAISD Sports Complex (1000 Edwards)
• Registration: No fee: donation of a school supply kit required
• Pickup: Runners must drop off their donations during bib pickup

📝 Drop Off Schedule

• July 10: 9 AM - 1 PM at SAPD Central Substation (515 S. Frio)
• July 11: 1 PM - 5 PM at SAPD Central Substation (515 S. Frio)
• July 12: 6:30 AM - 8 AM at SAISD Sports Complex (Race Day)

🤝 Support the Cause

Not a runner? You can still support the cause! Anyone can donate school supplies—no participation in the race required. From June 2nd through July 11th, donation bins will be available at all SAPD substations and select partner locations. Please note: these donations do not count toward the registration requirement for race packet pick-up. SAFFE Units from SAPD WEBSITE

💰 Monetary Donations

If you prefer to donate money instead of supplies, you can support the cause with a monetary donation through Blue Cares – SAPOA Outreach. 🎉 Health Fair Information

Come Cheer & Join the Health Fair! Family, friends, and supporters are invited to cheer on the runners and enjoy our free Health Fair during the 5K. The fair will feature local gyms, wellness groups, youth safety programs, and community resource agencies offering free info and giveaways. Vendor participation in the Health Fair is completely free. However, we kindly encourage all vendors to donate school supplies in support of the cause.

🚗 Transportation & Safety

Parking is limited, so carpooling is highly encouraged. Be sure to stay prepared for the July heat—bring water, sunscreen, and a hat to stay cool. We also encourage everyone to train ahead of time to ensure a safe and enjoyable run. No alcohol is allowed on school property. EMS and SAPD will be on site, and first aid services will be available.
